If you’re like me and you live for social media outfit inspiration, you’ll understand how frustrating it can be to see an item online and not be able to find out where to buy it.
Thankfully, Australian fashion brand Supré has come to South Africa! Having opened its doors in Cape Town earlier this month and with a store opening in Pretoria today, the struggle will no longer be real.
Established in 1984 (and part of the Cotton On Group since 2013), Supré is one of the most iconic and recognisable brands in the female youth fashion market.
Seeing as the brand believes in the power of girls and its focus is to embody, share and celebrate, at every touch point, what it means to be part of the girl gang; Supré provides on point, trend-led product, store environments, digital networks and support that fulfill our girl’s life and style.
The store updates their styles every single week so you can always expect to find something new and on-trend.
Supré also prides itself on featuring its own Instagram live feed in store as well as charging stations and what they call their “signature bestie change rooms.” Their aim is to have stores that are a space where friends can shop, get support, explore and have fun with their girl gang.
“We have invested significantly in our trend and design team, working out of our global head office in Australia to bring our girl the best in apparel and accessories. Together, our head office and Johannesburg teams will be delivering the latest fashion to our South African customers, at an accessible price point,” said Supré General Manager Elle Roseby in a statement.
This season sees a pastel colour palette – powder pinks, mints and whites – spill into the new styles – choker crops, criss cross camis and major midis for a style aware global girl.
Niquita Bento, Mihlali Ndamase and Lindiwe Ngubeni are just some of the members of Supré’s newly formed and fast growing SA Girl Gang.
“We are so excited to bring Supré to South Africa and look forward to sharing our range with local girls. We know our global girl, philosophy and content will resonate in South Africa,” said Roseby at the Cape Town launch of the brand earlier this month.
Central to the brand is its philanthropic arm, the Supré Foundation, and its vision to ensure all girls have the opportunity to fulfill their potential.
100 per cent of all proceeds from Foundation products sold go to helping empower girls.
“Through our partnerships and initiatives, we aim to foster a supportive world where girls are empowered. We are very passionate about the Supré Foundation and proud of its success in Australia, as such, we look forward to delivering it on a local level,” said Roseby.
In line with the brand’s international expansion, the Supré Foundation will work with a local partner to address the greatest needs in helping empower girls in South Africa.
Supré’s Centurion Mall branch opens today, 27 October and their Menlyn Park branch will open in early November. If you live in Cape Town, you can find them at Cavendish Square.
