Tibz Becomes a Bisquit Man – Here’s Why You Should Care

Avid social media users and anyone privy to the inner workings of the local music industry has heard of Tebello Motsoane in some for or another – most probably under the moniker, Tibz.

But now that he has just completed the first of many Café Tibz collaborations with one of the world’s most prestigious cognacs, Bisquit, why should we care?

Considering the fact that he has had a hand in the careers of some of hip-hop’s faves, in addition to contributing to the scores of projects such as Mzansi Magic’s Ayeye and Tell Me Sweet Something, one can only understand why connecting the country’s major brands to the youth is such a natural fit for this connoisseur of cool.

Those who follow Tibz can see that he has an affinity for the finer things in life, often expressed through his love for food and it’s multiple pairings (top-shelf alcohol, cigars and music).

It came as no surprise then that he created Café Tibz in the comfort of his home kitchen through sharing the different ingredient combinations he enjoyed experimenting with to his combined social media following of over 100,000 people.

This then lead to him hosting private dinners for family, friends & acquaintances in his home. It wasn’t long before the demand for the experience inspired him to turn it into an exclusive dining experience for “everyone” to enjoy.

The first Café Tibz was exclusive to 80 people and held on Wednesday, 5th October 2016 in the vintage wine cellar at Verdicchio, Montecasino. It was followed by a dinner at Parc Femme on Friday, 18 November 2016 with just 20 guests this time around for a more intimate feel.

Tibz teamed up with the in-house chefs to create an incredible 3-course meal paired with the award winning Bisquit Cognac best selection.

Esteemed guests were treated to welcome drinks on their arrival followed by a superb selection of unique cuisine. Dishes such as butter curried mussel tartlets, Crispy Duck confit and Gooseberry tarte tatin were on offer to complete the phenomenal taste-bud experience.

Café Tibz is just one of the many concepts he will be working on with the brand.

“I’m really proud to have a relationship with the most awarded Cognac in the world. Together we will breathe life into all the things that I & everyone else enjoys… It’s going be an adventure of taste with lots of fun” said Tibz in a statement.
